Update SPF Record to Improve Email Deliverability

Category: Email

Internet Service Providers (ISPs), like Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft, use SPF authentication as a way to scan incoming emails for spam or spoofed addresses. Emails that fail authentication are more likely to arrive in a spam or junk folder.

To help ensure your Vestorly emails reach your recipients’ inboxes, you can add Vestorly to your SPF record. You may need to share these instructions with your IT department or webmaster.

  1. Use this guide to find the instructions to edit your SPF record for your specific web host.
  2. When you find your SPF record, it probably looks something like this: v=spf1 a mx include:spf.google.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com
  3. Update it to include the Vestorly server to look like this: v=spf1 a mx include:spf.google.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com ip4:167.89.18.146 ip4:192.254.117.81 ~all
